ReStore Sales Associate AM

Funds from the ReStore help Habitat for Humanity build homes, communities, and hope in Brown County. We also help keep millions of pounds of unwanted merchandise out of our landfills. Position Objective: The ReStore Donor and Sales Associate will represent the Habitat brand through courteous interactions with potential donors and customers to support our mission and support ReStore operations. This person must be comfortable moving products (sometimes very heavy products) and work with the ReStore staff to ensure donations are placed and ready for processing, as well as loading customer purchases. The position requires the ability to lift and move product that may be 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis. Specific Duties: Provide exceptional customer service, including unloading donations and loading purchases into customers’ vehicles. Greet donors and customers on a regular basis with professionalism and care. Work with volunteers daily. Assist ReStore managers in maintaining efficient operations by: o Maintaining a clean and safe work area. o Keeping the warehouse neat and orderly when unloading. o Putting incoming donations from receiving dock in the proper location. o Cleaning, pricing and moving donated items to the sales floor. o Adhering to the ReStore’s recycling efforts. o Assisting customers and donors in loading and unloading merchandise. o Utilizing and storing of dollies or carts for the safe transport of donations. o Communicate with management, volunteers and customers clearly. All other duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience and Skills: Understand Habitat for Humanity mission. Must be professional in appearance and a good ambassador of the Habitat brand. Demonstrates problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Ability to work well and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to establish, foster and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and the public. Ability to arrive at work promptly and dress neatly in a Habitat for Humanity shirt (provided). Ability to continuously lift 50 pounds or more throughout the day. Must demonstrate safety awareness in vehicles and use of equipment. Team player able to help in warehouse and sales floor as needed. High School Diploma or GED (or in the process of obtaining). Must pass a criminal background check and sexual offender check. Anticipated Hours 10 to 20 hours per week Flexible scheduling, schedule will fall between 7:45am and 2:45pm Tuesday-Friday (shift can start at 7:45am, 8:45am or 9:45am, ending no later than 2:45pm). We work with school/sports schedules. Saturday shift is between 10am-5:15pm (two Saturdays per month, between 5 and 8 hours/Saturday depending on store staffing needs) No Sundays, no nights after 7pm Salary and Benefits Starting salary $15/hour 401k program with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) Position will remain open until filled.
