Join us.\nPosition Title: Hardware Engineer\nLocation: Irvine, CA\nWork Arrangement: On-Site\nPosition Summary\nThe Hardware Engineer in this position will perform assigned electrical engineering tasks including circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, wire harness design, electromechanical/electrical system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.\nSome of the platforms you might be working on include;\nUltra\nLEAP\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nWork with the team to design and build subsystem/hardware/software for our aircraft systems\nPrepare and create schematics, engineering drawings, test plans/procedures\nCollaborate with mechanical, GNC, manufacturing, aerodynamic, procurement, quality assurance, and project/program management teams\nDemonstrate and encourage adherence to best practices and standard procedures\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nProven understanding of Electrical Engineering principles\nDemonstrated skills in troubleshooting, validating/testing, and analyzing subsystems/systems\nExperience in documenting designs and analyses with written reports\nAbility to design using CAD software such as Altium\nProven communication and interpersonal skills\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nExperience in designing robotic and/or aircraft systems\nUAV experience highly desired\nHands-on experience with microcontrollers and firmware/software\nExperience in small to medium sized teams in an R&D environment\nFamiliar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standards\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field\n3 - 5+ years of progressively responsible industry experience\nClearance Level Required: No.\nExport Control / ITAR Requirement:\nThis position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.\nTravel Required: Less Than 10%\nWorking Conditions:\nThe diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nMust have the ability to stop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.\nInvolves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.\nWork Authorization Requirement:\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.\nSalary: $100,000 - $145,000 annually\nSalary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
