{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"45f345b7c761b416a2d1aa88","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/45f345b7c761b416a2d1aa88","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/45f345b7c761b416a2d1aa88","title":"Machine Design Engineer","description":"Job Title: Senior Machine Design Engineer\nJob Type: Full-time direct hire\nJob Location: Jackson, MI (Onsite)\nWork Authorisation: US Citizen/GC\nJob Description:\nThe client is a leading automation technology company specializing in innovative vision systems, robotics, and slicing and packaging technology.\nWith a global presence on six continents, we strive to revolutionize the baking industry by creating million-dollar product lines that enable efficient fast-food production.\nAs a Senior Machine Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated machines and equipment for the baking industry.\nYour day-to-day tasks will include conceptualizing, prototyping, and validating machine designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nThis is a full-time on-site role where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative automation technology.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field\nProven experience in machine design, including concept development, 3D modeling, and simulation\nVery Strong Mechatronics Background\nProficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD\nPackaging Equipment background a must.\nKnowledge of machine controls and automation systems\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and materials\nExperience in the baking industry or food processing equipment design is a plus.\nMust be able to work independently and part of a team.\nMust understand the need for a sense of urgency\nGood attendance and ability to work overtime.\nPossess excellent written and oral communication skills.\nMust be comfortable in an office environment & shop environment.\nMust be detail-oriented in design/job release to manufacturing.\nResponsibilities Include:\nDesign new products and modify existing designs.\nAssist in resolution of Manufacturing, Assembly, Outsourcing, Warranty and Rectification issues.\nProvides guidance to manufacturing and assembly during initial new product build.\nActively research and analyze competitive offerings.\nConfers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, required resources, cost effectiveness, and market demand for new products.\nSupports the development of owners’ manuals for all new products.\nSupports or owns special project initiatives as directed by VP of Engineering.\nListens to and resolves assembly/manufacturing requests or concerns.\nMust be flexible with responsibilities/projects/duties as these may change based on loading.\nAssists in creation and maintenance of quality standards on all new products.\nMaintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner while ensuring documentation is in place.\nProvides support/documentation for projects to successfully enter mainstream manufacturing.\nSupports the development of Features, Benefits, Spec.’s, and various Marcom for Sales as it relates to new products.\nTakes a proactive approach to new product development and equipment upgrades.\nResponds quickly to resolve Warranty and Rectification issues as requested by VP of Engineering.\nThrough leadership, instills a pride of “quality of execution” in the daily performance of the Mechanical Engineering Team.\nMaintains a working knowledge of modern technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.\nJob Type: Full-time\nSalary: $90,000.00 -
