Senior Cyber Systems Engineer (Rust/Python)

You will work across edge devices, backend services, and infrastructure to deliver scalable, production-grade capabilities supporting mission-critical operations.What You’ll DoDesign and develop software for real-time data ingestion, processing, and control.Build scalable distributed services across edge and backend environments.Develop APIs, automation frameworks, and data pipelines supporting analysis and operational workflows.Integrate with network stacks, wireless tooling, and external data sources.Deploy and optimize applications on Linux-based systems operating under constrained resources.Troubleshoot complex networking, systems, and performance issues.Prototype and iterate rapidly based on evolving operational requirements.Collaborate with software, hardware, and field engineering teams to integrate mission capabilities.Required Qualifications7+ years of software or systems engineering experience.Strong proficiency in Rust, Python, and Bash scripting.Experience building backend, distributed, or systems-level software.Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, sockets, and packet-level behavior.Proficiency in Linux environments including services, processes, debugging, and system performance analysis.Experience developing software in resource-constrained or real-time environments.Ability to work independently and drive technical solutions from loosely defined requirements.Eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.Preferred QualificationsExperience in offensive security, red teaming, penetration testing, or security-focused engineering.Familiarity with wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, BLE, cellular, or SDR.Experience with edge or embedded systems such as ARM, Jetson, or Raspberry Pi.Experience with containerization, automation, or CI/CD tooling.Working knowledge of C#, JavaScript, or additional systems programming languages.Clearance RequirementThis position requires eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. Candidates will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal requirements. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all clearance and adjudication requirements.
