Your past experience should include a track record of building things that users love.\r\nWatershed's technical stack is the web frontend that our customers use, together with a backend of climate data, climate models, and plug-ins to various financial systems. We build new products in a customer-first way so you'll be working quite a bit in React, TypeScript, CSS, Node.js, etc. There's no need to be a prior expert in our stack — it's more important that you're good at picking up technologies quickly.\r\nSome traits that are important to our company culture: customer-obsessed, outcome-oriented, and inclusive. And we're looking for owners, so we hope you'll help us evolve this list.\r\nWhat you could work on\r\nBuild new interactive data visualizations to help climate leads understand their company's emissions.\r\nBuild APIs to unify carbon data access for customers and other engineers.\r\nBuild tools that help financial institutions measure and report emissions across their portfolio companies.\r\nBuild tools for customers to effectively ingest and interpret business data.\r\nYou will\r\nShip code to production on day one.\r\nCollaborate with product, design, climate science, and data science to build and iterate on software that helps our customers understand their climate data.\r\nYou might be a fit if you\r\nHave 4+ years of software engineering industry experience, preferably in Node.js web development or data pipelines.\r\nHave experience building scalable software starting from user needs.\r\nAre excited to join a startup and are ready to help evolve a growing engineering team.\r\nMust be willing to work from an office 4 days per week (except for remote roles)\r\nWatershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City and satellite offices in Denver, Sydney, Paris, and Berlin.
