Other duties may be assigned./pulliWorks with students with disabilities in all educational settings individually and/or groups to provide instructional support./liliImplements the instructional plan as developed with the classroom teacher as it pertains to the core curriculum. Monitors and adjusts the instructional plan based on student needs. Conveys knowledge that is accurate and current./liliImplements strategies and accommodations as developed with the classroom teacher as it pertains to the students Individual Education Program, Emergency Health Plans monitoring student safety in various educational settings./liliMaintain a log/schedule providing support to students with disabilities within the inclusive, resource and self-contained classrooms./liliAssists in the routine supervision of study areas, cafeterias, halls, playground, instructional field trips and bus loading areas when applicable for students with disabilities./liliPerforms non-complex health procedures, implements Individual Health Plans as applicable, attends necessary non-complex health training as prescribed by board policy and state law. Lifting and positioning of students as applicable./liliImplements strategies that reinforce positive student behavior. Works closely with the classroom teacher to implement positive behavior supports and Behavior Plans as applicable. Positively interact when the student is inappropriate to redirect to attention on task. Handle with Care training required as applicable./liliAssists students in using computer applications and related assistive technology./liliMaintains confidentiality of student information and progress as it relates to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act./liliPerforms other related duties as required or assigned as it relates to supporting students with disabilities and teachers/administrative staff./li/ulpTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students and parents.
