You’ll contribute to projects from initial design through testing and field startup, working with PLCs, HMIs, servo motion systems, electrical schematics, and automated equipment.Following the initial onsite training period, the position offers the opportunity for a hybrid working arrangement.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop electrical designs and control panel layouts for automated machinery and equipmentProduce electrical schematics and related documentation using CAD softwareSelect appropriate electrical components based on machine requirements, performance specifications, and applicable industry standardsPerform engineering calculations and technical research to support equipment design decisionsDevelop PLC logic for automated machinery and production equipmentCreate and modify HMI applications used for machine operation and monitoringProgram and configure servo-based motion control systemsSupport the design and development of electrical and controls portions of new and existing equipmentCreate bills of material and maintain accurate engineering documentationReview drawings, component selections, and bills of material for assigned projectsParticipate in engineering reviews to evaluate technical requirements, design decisions, and project costsMaintain drawings and documentation as equipment designs are revisedDocument controls architecture, design decisions, and software development workSupport machine testing, startup, and debugging before equipment is deliveredProvide technical assistance during onsite equipment installation and startupTroubleshoot controls and electrical issues that arise during field operationCoordinate assigned engineering activities and collaborate with other members of the design teamReview completed engineering work to help maintain design quality and consistencyTravel to customer locations as required for equipment startup and technical supportQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant hands-on experience within a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of PLC programming and industrial control systemsExperience developing or supporting HMI applicationsFamiliarity with servo and motion-controlled equipmentUnderstanding of electrical engineering design principles and practicesExperience developing electrical schematics and control panel designsAbility to troubleshoot electrical and controls-related problemsStrong technical problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesAbility to effectively plan and prioritize engineering responsibilitiesStrong attention to detail and documentationEffective written and verbal technical communication skillsAbility to contribute within a collaborative engineering environment while also working independentlyWillingness to travel
