As a Liner Technician, you will be an essential part of our field crews, performing hands-on installation, welding, and quality assurance of geomembrane liners and related geosynthetic materials—primarily supporting oil & gas sector projects in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, with occasional travel throughout the United States. This is a full-time, travel-heavy role involving outdoor manual labor in various weather conditions. Ideal candidates thrive in team environments, prioritize safety and quality, and are willing to work long hours to meet project demands.

- Perform high-quality welding, seaming, and bonding of liner materials using fusion/extrusion welders, hot wedge equipment, hot air guns, and other specialized tools to create secure, leak-proof seams and borders.
- Prepare surfaces for installation by grinding, cleaning, trimming, and repairing materials as needed to ensure proper adhesion and integrity.
- Handle material placement tasks, including unloading rolls, staging panels, filling and positioning sandbags, and securing liners during deployment.
- Conduct field testing (e.g., trial seams, non-destructive and destructive tests) and visual inspections to verify weld quality and overall installation compliance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with crew leaders, supervisors, and fellow technicians to complete daily project goals safely and on schedule.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work site by following all company and site-specific safety protocols, properly storing tools, and performing end-of-day cleanup.
- Assist in site preparation, light earthwork support, and other related activities to facilitate efficient liner system installation.
- Uphold the highest standards of workmanship to deliver durable, environmentally protective containment solutions.
Requirements
- Required: Demonstrated experience in geosynthetic/geomembrane welding and installation (e.g., hot wedge, extrusion, or hot air methods).
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for company vehicle use and travel).
- Ability to legally work in the United States (work permit required if non-U.S. citizen).
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, primarily within Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, with occasional out-of-state/overnight stays.
- Physically able to perform demanding manual labor, including consistently lifting 50-75 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.).
- At least 21 years of age (for insurance purposes).
- Strong team player with positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to take direction.
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and efficient performance.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and are subject to reasonable suspicion and random drug testing programs** (as this is a safety-sensitive position in the oil & gas and environmental sectors).
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and obtain necessary site-specific badges/security clearances for secured facilities.
