Part-time Veterinary Technician Pre-Clinical Instructor

Do you want a schedule where you work 10 to 11 weeks and have 2 to 3 weeks off?Then Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology (Bel-Rea) maybe the place for you!Like the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.Description:Duties may include:- Teach the hours required by the school and school schedule- Assisting 1 or 2 pre-clinical students with running of an anesthetic protocol including:IV catheter placementEndotracheal intubationAdministering Pre-anesthetic and Induction drugsMonitoring of an anesthetized patientRecovering a patient from anesthesia- Assisting 1 or 2 pre-clinical students with scrubbing and circulating for a spay and neuter surgery- Assisting 2 or 3 students in performing pre-surgical laboratory work including:CBC and blood chemistries as well as a manual differentialFecal float and direct smearUrinalysis- Participate in in-service education and continuing education courses to maintain certification as a RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician)- Other duties as assignedCandidate must be a current, RVT with four years minimum post-graduation experience in the field.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYBel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
