In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the implementation of a new web application.\nResponsibilities:\nEssential Functions\nWorks with Application Analysts to develop/implement unit and system testing processes\nReviews existing code, troubleshoots and modifies applications to debug/enhance\nIdentifies/resolves problems of basic scope using proper tools/techniques\nInteracts with internal/external (non-IT) associates to gather specific requirements related to software issues and may be responsible for planning own technical work\nRecommends improvements to existing applications to help support existing applications\nSeeks input from Garmin IT Analysts or other technical resources as required\nApplies standards and procedures to accomplish tasks, learns how to use/apply appropriate tools as needed, and documents work thoroughly in an organized manner\nApplies the use of applicable technologies to achieve essential functions of this role and participates in project definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience\nOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)\nMust demonstrate ability to learn/understand secure coding practices\nDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\nDemonstrated understanding of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, and frameworks like Vue, Express or React.\nDesired Qualifications\nOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)\nPrevious experience working in a team environment\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
