To remain in the program, apprentices must attend and pass several modules, ensuring they gain the necessary competencies to excel in their roles.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nParticipate in weekly apprenticeship classes, focusing on both practical skills and theoretical knowledge.\r\nHandle various tools and equipment such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, and more.\r\nAssist in a variety of tasks alongside skilled craft workers.\r\nPerform measurements and layout work for construction tasks.\r\nPrepare sites, dig trenches, and ensure the ground is level and ready for construction.\r\nProactively identify and report safety hazards to maintain a secure work environment.\r\nKeep your work area, tools, and equipment tidy and functional.\r\nAdhere to company policies and procedures, and obtain necessary certifications as requested, including BBP, First Aid, CPR, OSHA Training, PEC, H2S, and more.\r\nQualifications\r\nProficiency in English reading and comprehension.\r\nAbility to lift 70 lbs.\r\nValid driver's license.\r\nPositive can-do attitude.\r\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\r\nAdditional Requirements\r\nDemonstrated ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.\r\nPhysically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 70 pounds, and standing for extended periods.\r\nWillingness to work overtime and weekends as project demands dictate.\r\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\r\nThe role requires frequent physical activity, including lifting, bending, and moving in various environmental conditions.\r\nWork involves exposure to typical construction site conditions such as dust, noise, and outdoor weather.\r\nPosition Type, Travel, and Work Schedule\r\nThis is a full-time position. Typical work hours are Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
