Our work depends on a Material Coordinator joining our team to coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.\n\nHOW A MATERIAL COORDINATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:\nReview production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material; arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments, and examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified\nMonitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel board, compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using adding machine; compile report of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck; may compile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system, and maintain employee records\nWork requires regular and recurring physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and similar activities in and around distribution areas on a concrete floor.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\nEducation: High School Diploma/GED\nRequired Experience: 1+ years of related experience\nRequired Technical Skills: Required to have skills to operate various warehouse material handling equipment (MHE) to include, but not be restricted to the following: stock chasers, electric cars, stretch wrapping machines, pallet jacks, rate shop systems/shipping systems, dollies, hand trucks, electrically powered stand up forklifts, order fulfillment systems or mobile scanners\nAttributes for Success: Good communication skills and works well in a team oriented environment\nLocation: Hines, Illinois onsite\nSecurity Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a NACI Tier 1 Background Investigation and must be a US Person (Green Card Holder/US Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee or US Citizen)\nWork visa sponsorship will not be considered for this role\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n401K with company match\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career\nProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n1 + years of related experience\nmay vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\nCertification\nTravel Required\nNone\nSalary and Benefit Information\nThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $22.97 - $31.07.
