Material Handler - Day shift

Position: Material HandlerLocation: Elk Grove VillageShift: Day Shift | 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM | 12-hour rotating schedule (must be willing to work overtime and weekends)Department: WarehousePay Rate: $21.10/hourSummary DescriptionThe Material Handler supports plant operations by safely moving raw materials, finished goods, samples, and warehouse inventory throughout the facility while maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance.What You’ll Be DoingProcess sample requests for CSR, R&D, Lab, and other departments as neededCut samples and reprint labels for raw material, master rolls, and finished goods for lab useScrap and bale recyclable materialsDeliver mail, UPS, and FedEx throughout the plantMove materials throughout the plant following routing delivery tickets or ordersFill orders from storage and warehouse stock and deliver materials to designated departments and machinesOperate power lift trucks to move materials and stack palletsOperate walking crane or hoist when unloading and storing materials as requiredUnload, move, and store a variety of materials, parts, and productsPerform forklift operation safely and efficientlyTrack material movement using scanner systems under EFI proceduresFollow FIFO procedures at all timesObey all HALO safety traffic signs and proceduresComplete forklift checklists and report equipment issuesParticipate in daily shift change communication meetingsFollow truck loading and unloading procedures safelyDiscuss daily safety topicsReport all safety violations to managementParticipate in TOPPAN’s Global Performance System (GPS) activities including 5Star, pillar teams, audits, and near missesMaintain regular attendance and punctualityPerform other duties as assignedWork a full 12-hour schedule consistentlyWe’d Love to Hear From You IfYou have previous forklift experienceYou have a strong “get it done” attitude and urgency to complete tasksYou have strong written and verbal communication skillsYou can lift up to 75 pounds as neededYou work well in a fast-paced team environmentYou can read and understand manufacturing instructionsYou can work quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and safetyBenefitsAt TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
