If possible, we will try to tailor your job responsibilities to help with your career goals.\nWhat are we looking for?\nWe are looking for a Code Sensei (Instructor) to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual is responsible for instruction and student engagement. Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.\nResponsibilities include:\nTraining – go through the curriculum and learn it to coach students and other senseis (instructors)\nCreate a positive and safe environment in which students can grow\nWork with children to determine skill sets\nProvide feedback to parents after working with students on a daily basis and for those who are on a tour\nFollow opening/closing duties daily\nReport to Center Director with respect to the day’s activities, efficiency, & productivity in dojo\nQualifications:\nCollege students or graduates (any STEM major or has STEM experience) are welcome to apply\nWorks well with others; collaborates. Brings enthusiasm and enjoys working with kids\nKnowledgeable about coding and technology; or sharp enough to quickly pick up the basic concepts\nMust be fun to work with and like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCoding/Videogame Development Experience strongly preferred (esp. JavaScript, C#, LUA, Unity, Roblox)\n3D Printing experience is a plus, but not required\nWork history with kids 7 and up (babysitting, mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)\nExperience in teaching, mentoring and/or childcare\nSalary range: $17 to $20 an hour plus opportunities for growth based upon tenure and performance.\nJob Type: Part-time\nPay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour\nExpected hours: 15 – 30 per week\nBenefits:\nEmployee discount\nPaid time off\nSchedule:\nAfter school\nMonday to Friday\nWeekends as needed (Sunday)\nApplication Question(s):\nWe host 2 camp sessions each week Mon - Fri: 8 - 11:30; 12:45 - 3p\nSundays 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM\nWhat is your availability?
