{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"4575b58f2b889b5d5bf40f2e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/4575b58f2b889b5d5bf40f2e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/4575b58f2b889b5d5bf40f2e","title":"Sr. Electrical Engineer","description":"Senior Electrical Engineer\nGreenville, SC (Primary) | Nationwide Opportunities Available\n\nHargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support complex industrial EPC projects across the U.S. While this role is anchored in our Greenville, SC office, we are recruiting nationwide talent and will consider placement or long-term project support aligned with our additional office locations in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, based on business and project needs.\n\nThis position performs complete design and engineering of complex electrical systems and provides technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nPerform complete electrical design for complex industrial engineering projects\n\nApply advanced engineering techniques, analysis, and judgment under general supervision\n\nServe as discipline lead on small to mid-sized projects\n\nDevelop single-line diagrams, motor control center layouts, electrical room layouts, cable schedules, grounding, lighting, power, plans\n\nProduce design calculations, sketches, specifications, material take-offs, and cost estimates\n\nDevelop electrical installation and construction specifications\n\nReview and check calculations, drawings, and vendor documentation for accuracy and code compliance\n\nCoordinate with other engineering disciplines, designers, and project leadership\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers\n\nSupport procurement efforts through equipment specifications and bid packages\n\nPerform fieldwork and construction support, including tie-ins, startup assistance, and commissioning activities\n\nEnsure designs meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and constructability requirements\n\nSupport interoffice execution and virtual team collaboration across regions\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEducation & Credentials\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred\n\nExperience\n\n6+ years of progressive experience in industrial electrical engineering\n\nPrior experience supporting EPC projects in chemical, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments\n\nTechnical Knowledge & Skills\n\nStrong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)\n\nAbility to perform:\n\nLoad flow, voltage drop, short circuit, and overcurrent protection calculations\n\nLighting level calculations and power distribution design\n\nExperience with:\n\nLow and medium voltage systems (including 15kV power systems)\n\nCable tray and conduit routing, fill calculations, and construction materials\n\nAbility to develop:\n\nElectrical installation specifications\n\nControl narratives, P&IDs (measurement and control), and data sheets\n\nEquipment specifications for MCCs, motors, transformers, analyzers, control systems, and valves\n\nFamiliarity with ISA standards\n\nKnowledge of PLC, HMI, and/or DCS systems preferred\n\nAbility to act as Engineer of Record where PE certification is required\n\nProficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation\n\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\n\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills\n\nLocations & Work Flexibility\n\nPrimary location: Greenville, SC\n\nAdditional office options: TX, LA, AL, GA, PA\n\nHybrid or interoffice execution support may be available\n\nRelocation assistance may be offered based on role and location\n\nThe Role\nThe selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employment Statement\nHargrove is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
