Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a leading financial services firm seeking an Accounting Manager with a blend of public accounting and private industry experience, ideally with exposure to fixed income, credit, or loan products. Responsibilities:Oversee accounting and financial reporting for fixed income / credit portfolios, including loans and related instrumentsManage the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysisReview and analyze investment activity, including interest income, amortization/accretion, and loan-related transactionsEnsure accurate accounting treatment for loan positions and credit instrumentsPartner with internal teams including Investment, Operations, and Treasury on portfolio activity and reportingSupport preparation of financial statements and work closely with auditors during audit cyclesAssist with process improvements, controls, and system enhancementsMentor and oversee junior accounting staff as neededQualifications:5–8+ years of accounting experience with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and financial services industry experienceExperience with fixed income, loans, private credit, or credit instruments strongly preferredStrong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reportingExperience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparationProficiency in Excel and accounting systemsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
