You will work closely with other developers, QA engineers, and product owners in a collaborative Agile environment.\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign and develop responsive web interfaces using React, integrating with libraries like Bootstrap and Material UI as needed.\nDevelop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs\nEnsure cross-browser compatibility and implement mobile-first responsive design techniques\nWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code\nTranslate mockups into functional components\nParticipate in peer code reviews and technical discussions\nContribute to technical documentation and support knowledge sharing\nTroubleshoot and support production issues as needed, including identifying and resolving client-side browser issues\nProfile front-end and back-end applications to identify and address performance bottlenecks\n\nKnowledge and Experience\nBachelor‘s degree in Computer Science or related field\n5+ years of professional experience in software development using Java 17+\n3+ years of hands-on experience with React and front-end development\nStrong understanding of responsive design, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript\nExperience with front-end frameworks/libraries like Bootstrap or Material UI\nExperience with the Spring Boot Framework\nExperience with unit and integration testing (Junit, Mockito, React Testing Library, etc.)\nExperience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL\nExperience with API design and documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI\nExperience with message brokers or event-driven architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)\nFamiliarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins\nUnderstanding of OAuth 2.0 and common authentication mechanisms\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nProven ability to troubleshoot complex client-side browser issues\nExperience with application profiling and performance optimization techniques.\n\nPreferred Knowledge and Experience\nKnowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) and front-end security best practices\nKnowledge of AI tools such as GitHub copilot, Cursor, or Claude is a big plus\nFamiliarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm)\nFamiliarity with containerization (e.g., Docker)\nFamiliarity with ML and AI concepts. Hands-on exp is a big plus\nUnderstanding of microservices architecture and deployment patterns\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)\n\nNew York Base Salary Range\nThe expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $150,000 - 200,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
