DescriptionAmazon is seeking a Mechanical Integration Lead to drive the successful installation, integration, and deployment of automation and material handling systems across multiple facilities. This role provides mechanical engineering expertise in complex automation environments, ensuring projects meet Amazon’s safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards. The Mechanical Integration Lead will collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and operations to implement scalable solutions, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-impact results across large, multi-site programs.Key job responsibilitiesLead delivery of complex projects with multi-site impact ($10M to $50M scope)Provide technical expertise for automation initiatives across assigned sitesImplement technical solutions and lead project level decisionsFollow and help develop technical standards and best practicesWork cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and operations teamsParticipate in technical reviews and drive engineering excellenceImplement scalable solutions across assigned facilitiesRecommend and implement process improvementsCreate and maintain technical documentationDrive achievement of safety, timeline, cost, and quality metricsProvide technical input to leadership for decision-makingManage relationships with vendors and partnersA day in the lifeAs a Operations Engineer, you will serve as a technical expert in the integration and deployment of automation and material handling solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across organizations to drive implementations and improvements across multiple sites.Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience in engineering including a supervisory role managing people Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience Ability to travel up to 50% domestically 10+ years of OEM experience in MIL/EIL scope may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Preferred Qualifications Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems Experience in preventative maintenance systems Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level Experience working with and managing third party vendors Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturingAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
