Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Technician, Instrumentation & Controls at our Calcasieu Pass Express Pipeline located in Sulphur, LA.General Description:The Technician, Instrumentation & Electrical will report to the Operations Manager. The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment supporting safe and reliable operations. This role ensures compliance with regulatory, safety, and company standards while supporting operational uptime and asset integrity.Responsibilities:Participate in commissioning activitiesAssist with the CMMS build outInstall, calibrate, test, and maintain instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmittersTroubleshoot and repair control systems, PLCs, RTUs, and associated communication networksPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on control valves, analyzers, and electrical componentsConfigure and maintain SCADA systems and field communication devicesInterpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring schematics, and technical manualsSupport commissioning, startup, and shutdown activitiesParticipate in root cause analysis and failure investigationsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationEnsure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and regulatory requirementsSupport emergency response activities as requiredFunctions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Instrumentation & Controls systems.Understanding of requirements needed to execute control system (DCS, PLCs, SIS, F&G and stand-alone applications) maintenance work.Understand maintenance work scope and applicable Operations and Maintenance processes and procedures.Understand the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance electrical work according to VG Pipeline HSSE process, procedures, standards and regulations.Familiar with measurement systems and flow computers.Familiar with API RPs associated with pipeline design and operation.Provide tracking, status reporting, and project progress updates to project management.Responsible for population of Load Sheets associated with the workstream.Functions as interface between Maintenance, Engineering and other VG departments.Functions as SME for industrial communications protocols and control networks. Coordinate identification of local suppliers for spare data/pricing information (missing)Responsible to populate missing core tag data in SPILs as requiredResponsible to submit MM creation based on vendor recommended spares where missing or as required for BOM developmentTravel including nights and weekends, as neededOther duties as requiredQualifications:Education and Certifications:Education:High school diploma or GED (Technical degree or certification in Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred)5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems in an industrial, pipeline, or energy environmentWorking knowledge of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)Experience with SCADA systems and remote telemetry units (RTUs)Strong understanding of electrical systems up to 480VAbility to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematicsValid driver’s licenseExperience: Maintenance planning and scheduling experience preferred.Understanding of project development and delivery.Experience in natural gas and/or midstream operationsStrong knowledge of electrical industrial standards and regulationsStrong work experience maintaining and troubleshooting controls systems, dedicated applications, Analyzer and F&G, such as – but not limited to, System administration, backup/recovery programs, access control, alarm management, and cybersecurity interfacesStrong experience maintaining and troubleshooting DCS/SIS/PLCs and dedicated applications systemsWorking knowledge of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)Experience with SCADA systems and remote telemetry units (RTUs)Experience with GC Analyzer Systems as well as F&G Systems (field and buildings).Applied knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of dedicated application systems, such as, but not limited to, rotating machinery vibration and speed monitoring systems, tank gauging systems.Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial network communication systems (hardware and software).Knowledge with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process).
