Senior Technical Program Manager
Location: Alhambra CA (Onsite)Job SummaryThe role of Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) is to drive execution across complex, cross-functional programs within the SPP organization. This role sits at the center of product development, manufacturing ramp, and customer delivery, ensuring that programs progress with clear ownership, alignment, and on-time execution.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role leads end-to-end execution of product and customer programs from development through production ramp. It establishes structured program plans, defines milestones, and ensures alignment across R&D, Fab Operations, Reliability Engineering, and Product Line Management.Lead NPD, NPI, and customer programs with clear timelines, milestones, and deliverablesDrive cross-functional coordination across R&D, Ops, Reliability Engineering, and PLMMaintain visibility into program status, risks, and dependenciesIdentify risks early and drive mitigation with accountable ownersEstablish execution cadence including program reviews and reportingCoordinate Tier-1 customer programs and qualification timelinesAlign program execution with manufacturing readiness and capacity rampBring structure to complex, ambiguous situations and drive accountabilityMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field requiredAdvanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred10+ years in program management, engineering, or operations in semiconductor/photonics/advanced manufacturing with preference for experiences with InP lasers and other related devices.Proven track record managing cross-functional programs from development to productionStrong understanding of NPD, NPI, and manufacturing processesAbility to influence and drive execution without direct authorityStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple programs and resolve issues proactivelyExperience with program tools (Project, Smartsheet, etc)Strong Excel skillsERP exposure (SAP, Oracle) preferredWORKING CONDITIONSRegular exposure to chemicals, lasers, high-voltage, and compressed gas hazards; all applicable EHS training and certifications required prior to independent floor access.On-call availability expected for critical process excursions, equipment outages, or cleanroom environmental events.Occasional travel to parent company headquarters, customer sites, supplier facilities, and industry conferences.The intent of this job description is to describe the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
