Operating with Creativity, Honor, and Respect, this individual collaborates with the Safety Lead and jobsite teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance standards.\nIn this role, the Safety Team Member brings Innovative thinking to problem-solving, contributes Synergistically to field and shop operations, and models Total Ownership by holding themselves and others accountable to high safety standards.\nThis position plays a vital role in embedding our CHRIST values into the day-to-day culture of safety throughout CMC.\nDetailed Responsibilities\n1. Facility Safety Inspections & Audits\nConduct routine safety walkthroughs of CMC facilities, shops, and field environments (approx. 3–4 hours per site).\nReview and audit safety documentation including:\nEquipment safety sign-off sheets\nEquipment inspection logs\nIdentify deficiencies or at-risk behaviors and promptly report findings to the Safety Lead and site Supervisors.\nEnsure corrective actions are documented, assigned, and followed up on in a timely manner.\n2. Random Field Trailer Inspections\nPerform unannounced audits of field trailers for compliance with safety standards, material storage, and housekeeping practices.\nDocument conditions and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.\nEstimated time: ~3 hours/week depending on trailer presence.\n3. Incident Response & Investigation\nAssist in the investigation of all incidents, not limited to medical attention cases.\nResponsibilities include:\nInterviewing employees and witnesses\nCapturing photographs and diagrams\nAssisting in root cause analysis and preventive recommendations\nCollaborate with the Safety Lead on reporting, documentation, and follow-up actions.\nAverage: 5 hours/week depending on incident volume.\n4. Safety Training Development & Tracking\nCoordinate and disseminate weekly Toolbox Talks or other required safety trainings.\nMaintain accurate records of attendance and training completion.\nWork with site leads to ensure team participation.\nAverage: 6 hours/week\n5. Employee Check-Ins\nMeet with new team members at their 60-day milestone to discuss safety integration, progress on safety goals, and gather feedback on their onboarding experience.\nProvide positive reinforcement and corrective guidance where needed.\nEstimated: 3 hours/week\n6. First Aid Inventory Management\nRestock and inventory all first aid kits across facilities, trailers, and vehicles.\nMaintain a supply checklist and notify appropriate staff for reorders.\nTime required: ~3 hours/week\n7. Data Entry & Recordkeeping\nMaintain digital and physical safety files (incident reports, training logs, audits, etc.)\nAssist with compliance documentation for OSHA, insurance, and internal use.\nTime estimate: 1–3 hours/week\n8. Support for Safety Projects & Special Initiatives\nParticipate in or lead efforts such as:\nShop floor layout markings (e.g., pathway lines)\nAED inspections & fire extinguisher checks\nDistribution of PPE (hard hats, gloves, glasses)\nSafety-related improvements or seasonal campaigns\nEstimated: 2–4 hours/week\n9.
