In this role our Program Manager will be assigned to one of Visteon’s Automotive Customers and be responsible for leading Audio/IVI/CDC Programs from inception to successful delivery. This role brings stakeholders together, meets deadlines, and ensures customer satisfaction by setting the vision and standards for enterprise-wide customer project portfolios / programs, manages risks, and aligns resource planning with organizational goals.\n\nKey Objectives of this Role: Visteon’s Engineering/Program Managers are the primary contact for end-to-end customer program management. They proactively build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers and lead cross-functional stakeholders and global program teams to ensure alignment with customer, regional, and market-specific requirements.\nProgram Execution and Monitoring: Own end to end complex program execution Audio/Cluster ECU development (from concept to SOP and beyond). Monitor progress, and track delivery milestones for all engineering swim lanes (e.g., HW, SW, Systems, Manufacturing, etc), to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, & quality outcomes.\nPerformance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and make data-driven improvements. Provide leadership to project teams promoting timely and effective decision-making. Identify and pursue new opportunities for Visteon within customer programs and strategic initiatives.\nEffort Estimation & Negotiation: Prepare accurate engineering effort estimates and negotiate resource hours and scope with the customer to ensure alignment. Guide cross functional team in resolving complex issues, addressing launch challenges, and eliminating critical defects. Support VAVE(Value Analysis/Value Engineering) initiatives to optimize cost and enhance product competitiveness.\nRisk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks to minimize impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Manage scope changes by evaluating impacts on timelines, resources, and costs, implementing change control processes, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.\nChange Management: Managing program changes and scope creep by effectively evaluating and communicating the impacts of changes on timelines, resources, and costs. Partner with cross-functional teams to assess change requests, implementing change control processes, and ensuring effective change communication and stakeholder alignment.\nContinuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and efficiency gains. Leverages lessons learned, implement best practices, and adopt industry-leading program management methodologies.\n\nReporting Structure: This role reports to Visteon’s Senior Director of Customer Programs. This position will manage 2 direct reports and lead a matrixed team of 50+ professionals, including hardware and software engineers, and other customer delivery team members.\n\nKey Performance Indicators:\nDelivery within project cost, budgets and schedules.\nAchieving program milestones within defined budget and timelines.\nManage Program financials: EBITDA and IRR, material Margin\nSuccessful DV, PV & Launch: Timely and quality delivery of customer programs.\nCustomer Scorecard: track CSAT score and number of customer escalations\nDelivery Rate, Defect Rate, Cost Variance\nOn-Time Production Launch: Alignment of program timelines with manufacturing start dates.\nProgram Benefits Realization: increased revenue, cost savings, improved efficiency, enhanced customer experience\nNew projects/enhancements\n\nQualifications, Experience and Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering or a related field.\n10+ years of proven experience leading embedded systems, audio infotainment product development or program management, including successful delivery of complex engineering projects/programs or a similar leadership in an automotive or technology industry.\nStrong understanding of complex electronic architecture product development and the project management life cycle.\nProficiency in engineering processes (PI planning, JIRA, Confluence, etc.) project management methodologies with knowledge of project & product management tools\nExperience in resource planning, budget management, and business continuity planning.\nFamiliarity with AI based application(s) for data analysis and insights to drive operational excellence and decision making will be an added advantage.\nExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively across levels in a matrixed organization.\nAbility to reframe perspectives effectively and foster positive relationships.\nDemonstrated ability to drive process improvements and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nAbility to work on-site at assigned Visteon location and willingness to travel up to 15% or as required.\n\nKey Leadership Behaviors:\nBuild Strong Teams: Empower employees, encourage collaboration, and attract top talent.\nInspire Change: Communicate a compelling vision, pursue innovation, and foster optimism.\nResult Oriented: Maintain customer focus and accountability.\nCustomer Obsession: Prioritize customer needs and satisfaction.\nCritical Thinking: Make informed decisions and solve complex problems.\nOwnership & Accountability: Take responsibility for outcomes and deliver results.\n\nIn the fast lane of technology.
