Primary duties will be to provide assembly, calibration, setup, and testing for a wide range of multi-level products in a high mix, low volume environment. This position's duties and responsibilities involve the performance of manual work.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nAssembling, calibrating, setting up, and testing a wide range of precision mechanical, pneumatic, and electric assemblies to a high level of quality.\nAbility to complete or finalize modified products with limited direction using experience and analytical skills.\nAssemble prototypes with limited input from engineering department.\nProvide manufacturing inputs to reduce product costs, build time, and product reliability.\nUse basic test instruments to troubleshoot workstations, products, and assemblies.\nLight machining required, as well as use of belt sander, saw, grinder, drills, etc.\nThis position will be required to work safely in and around an industrial manufacturing facility.\nHighly efficient and excellent quality are expected and required.\nThis position will be required to support assembly, stockroom, and quality tasks outside of their own department.\nOther tasks and projects assigned by the management of AMADA WELD TECH from time to time.\n\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:\n\nBackground in precision electro-mechanical manufacturing\nAbility to understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic models, schematics, and drawings in English.\nEffective communication skills\nGood dexterity and skill in use of hand tools\nSoldering\nWilling to work on the production floor with employees to facilitate expedited completion of project schedules and resolution of production issues.\nAbility to train or mentor new employees.\nMust be able to work occasionally weekends and overtime.\nOther duties as assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThis position will not have supervisory responsibilities.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\n\nAA in Electronics or related field or have advanced electronic and mechanical assembly skills.\n4 to 6 years of experience as an electrical and mechanical assembly technician.\nOTHER QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nDiligence and being flexible to manage multiple tasks independently.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nInitiative-taking with a keen sense of ownership in all areas of responsibility.\nPunctual and dependable attendance.\nUnderstands AMADA WELD TECH INC.'s basic philosophy and participates fully in conducting its mission.\n\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nNone required.\nENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
