You will assemble custom sheet metal products or subassemblies for modular scientific laboratories.\r\nResponsibilities and Duties:\r\nAssemble products and/or subassemblies according to verbal instructions and Engineering drawings\r\nOperate hand and power tools as required and in accordance with general safety principles.\r\nConfer with Supervisor about variances\r\nCrosstrain with other areas as requested\r\nAssist in other areas of Production as requested\r\nParticipate in Quality and Safety functions pertaining to Production\r\nOther reasonably related duties\r\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\r\nAbility to use and read a measuring tape accurately.\r\nWorking knowledge of precise construction or assembly procedures.\r\nKnowledge of general safety principles in a Shop environment.\r\nProfessional manner\r\nAbility to operate basic hand and power tools, as well as a hand jack\r\nGood oral communication skills\r\nBasic reading and comprehension skills; ability to write legibly\r\nAbility to understand and follow instructions\r\nDetail and quality-results-oriented\r\nAbility to read and understand blueprints\r\nAbility to use and read measuring instruments accurately in both U.S. Standard and Metric\r\nAwareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment\r\nReliable transportation to work\r\nAbility to complete tasks working with others and independently\r\nWork overtime as required\r\nPhysical abilities: hearing; seeing; lifting, pushing, and pulling between 50-75 pounds; crouching; bending, twisting; kneeling; squatting; crawling; walking; standing for long periods; reaching in all directions; balancing; holding, grasping, and manipulating very small objects; hand/eye coordination; use safety ladder; climbing; lay on a mechanic's creeper and move about while performing tasks with tools; tolerate varying ranges of temperature in a Shop environment.\r\nPreferred Skills and Abilities:\r\nActive Driver's License helpful\r\nEducation and Experience:\r\nHigh School/GED\r\nSupervision Required: Medium Ability to work independently or with others to complete tasks on schedule.\r\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None\r\nWhy You'll Love Germfree:\r\nGermfree is committed to employee well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
