About Department 706 - TRIDENT Site Kings Bay, GA
Department 706 provides life cycle support services to TRF Kings Bay for OHIO and COLUMBIA class submarines. Primarily focused on facilities management, engineering services, and project management of key infrastructure projects onboard TRFKB which support the existing maintenance mission as well as preparing for the arrival of COLUMBIA. Department 706 at TRFKB is a small but growing team with a startup mentality. Well poised to support a variety of contracts, the team is growing its footprint and influence daily. Providing 5-star service in support of the strategic deterrence mission is our daily goal.
We are seeking a highly detail oriented and mission driven Management Systems Coordinator to support SSBN Refit periods and other maintenance availabilities for OHIO and COLUMBIA class submarines at submarine base Kings Bay, GA.
Role Overview
This critical role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of configuration data and logistics documentation throughout complex submarine refit and maintenance operation. The ideal candidate thrives in a technical environment, values precision, and understands the importance of configuration control in supporting national defense readiness
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze configuration changes and logistics support documentation associated with Maintenance and Modernization Periods (MMP) and Engineered Refit Periods (ERP).
Develop, prepare, and submit documentation supporting configuration changes and logistics support deficiencies.
Conduct shipboard configuration audits to failed status account records and ensure alignment with approved technical documentation.
Assess and extract data from multiple databases to support configuration management and integrated logistics support (ILS) task execution.
Perform configuration validations at the request of OHIO Class Design Activity.
Input, analyze, and validate technical data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
Perform quality control reviewsof database entries and supporting documentation.
Translate technical data into clear, concise reports and forms that provide actionable direction.
Track configuration changes and ensure all required reports and deliverables are submitted accurately and on schedule.
Provide additional support to Department 706 activities at TRF Kings Bay as required to meet departmental objectives.
This role involves travel - approximately 10% of time, once per quarter

Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in trades, shipyard, or military environmentsperforming configuration management activities
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance through the DoD
Candidates must be willing and physically able to climb steep stairs and ladders to enter dry-docks, ascend/descend scaffolding and access confined spaces within a submarine
Preferred
Associates degree or higher or trade school program certificate
Prior shipyard or submarine experience
Experience using Microsoft Excel and Project
Familiarity with TRF Kings Bay organizational structure and processes
