{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"44c02e31830fe3e385c78849","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/44c02e31830fe3e385c78849","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/44c02e31830fe3e385c78849","title":"Cloud Data DevOps Engineer","description":"If you are passionate about making an impact, utilizing cutting-edge data technology, and eager to learn and grow with talented data & analytics teams, we believe you would be a great fit and help in innovation and solving challenges.\n\nNote: This is a hybrid role; the candidate must reside within a 100-mile radius of our Coppell TX office and be available to work on-site 3 days a week on a regular basis, as well as 2–3 times per month for team meetings and collaboration days.\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nDesign, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.\n\nBuild scalability, fault-tolerance, security, and performance into our data platforms to meet our growing data & analytics needs.\n\nDevelop cloud data ingestion and processing frameworks.\n\nAutomate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\n\nImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data applications.\n\nOptimize data pipelines and processes for performance and scalability.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and data processing.\n\nWork with our data engineering teams, data science teams, and analytical business users to review and ensure best practices are followed and high-quality code gets implemented.\n\nPartner with our Information Security, Application Security, and Cloud Infrastructure Services teams to ensure data is secure both at-rest and in-flight.\n\nEnsure data platforms remain current to take advantage of the latest features and support.\n\nMentor, teach, champion, and encourage an Automation mindset amongst the IT department and other business units.\n\nCommunicate the status of assigned work to management and follow agile practices, standard procedures, and policies.\n\nSeek guidance when direction is needed and speak up about technology risks identified.\n\nWhat You’ll Need\n\nExtensive hands-on expertise in Automation, troubleshooting logs, and optimizing system performance.\n\nDeep understanding of Cloud and data security in AWS or Google Cloud.\n\nGood experience with networking, Linux and Unix OS, and shell scripting.\n\nDemonstrated aptitude for identifying the underlying issues in Cloud services such as Glue, Lambda, Big Query, and Cloud Functions.\n\nGood experience with Cloud platforms AWS and/or Google Cloud in supporting Data pipelines and integrations.\n\nExperience with Cloud Automations using CloudFormation or Terraform.\n\nGood understanding of network infrastructures and protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS.\n\nFamiliarity with data integration from different sources into Big Data systems is preferable.\n\nFamiliarity with SQL and programming languages such as Python, Spark, YAML, and Bash.\n\nCloud Certification in DevOps in AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.\n\n#LI-SH1\n\nRemarkable benefits:\n\nHealth coverage for medical, dental, vision\n401(K) saving plans with company match AND Pension\nTuition assistance\nFloating holidays and PTO for community volunteer programs\nPaid parental leave\nWellness programs\nEmployee discounts (membership, insurance,\ntravel, entertainment, services and more!)\n\nAuto Club Enterprises is the largest club within the national AAA federation.
