Code Senseis guide children through coding projects, help them work through challenges, and create an environment where learning feels fun.\nYou do not need to be an expert programmer or a certified teacher. We’ll provide training, curriculum, and ongoing support. What matters most is that you connect well with kids, communicate clearly, and are willing to keep learning alongside them.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Code Sensei, you will:\nWelcome students and help them feel comfortable and included\nGuide children through our coding curriculum and project-based activities\nAsk thoughtful questions that help students solve problems independently\nEncourage creativity, persistence, and confidence\nKeep students engaged while maintaining a calm, positive learning environment\nTrack student progress and share helpful updates with teammates and families\nAssist with camps, clubs, birthday parties, workshops, or special events as needed\nHelp keep the center clean, organized, and ready for students\nLearn new tools, games, and technologies with support from our team\nYou May Be a Great Fit If You\nGenuinely enjoy working with children\nAre patient, encouraging, and able to explain ideas in different ways\nShow up on time and follow through on commitments\nCan balance fun with clear expectations\nFeel comfortable using computers and learning new software\nCommunicate professionally with students, parents, and coworkers\nRespond to challenges with curiosity and a problem-solving mindset\nAre available during [required days and hours]\nExperience with programming, education, tutoring, summer camps, robotics, gaming, or youth programs is helpful, but it is not required.\nHelpful Technical Experience\nFamiliarity with any of the following is a plus but not required:\nScratch or block-based coding\nJavaScript, Python, Lua, Java, or C#\nRoblox, Minecraft, Unity, or game development\nRobotics, electronics, or 3D design\nComputer science coursework\nPlease note: We care more about your ability help young people learn and create a welcoming and fun environment for our ninjas!\nWhat We Offer\nPaid training and ongoing coaching\nA structured curriculum and the tools needed to succeed\nA fun, creative workplace\nOpportunities to strengthen your teaching, leadership, and technical skills\nThe chance to make a visible difference in children’s confidence and growth\nAdvancement opportunities, flexible scheduling, and bonus opportunities\nWhat Success Looks Like\nA successful Code Sensei is someone students look forward to seeing. They help kids feel capable without simply giving them the answers.
