This position also prepares items for shipment and may receive incoming merchandise or material for the preparation of shipment. The material handler will load and unload delivery trucks, pull materials from shelves, and move items from warehouse to production. They will ensure production areas are fully stocked and have the materials they need to meet production schedules and fulfill orders to move quickly.\nIn this role, you will:\nResolve any material needs, solving material problems and inventory control issues as they arise\nUpdate computer generated inventories and documents\nFollow inspection procedures\nAdhere to procedures required for stores/materials documents and shipping and receiving documents\nPerform warehouse control, inventory control and related duties\nCommunicate with various departments to ensure the proper flow of work and materials\nLoad and unload shelves using forklifts and other moving equipment\nOrganize and clean warehouse\nRequired and Preferred Abilities:\n2-3 years’ experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control\nOperating a forklift and pallet jack.\nWorking knowledge and understanding of computers\nPass crane training & forklift training\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nOccasionally exposed to fumes associated with cleaning products dust and warehouse conditions\nRegularly required to talk and hear\nVery active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day\nFrequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds\nVision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nWe pride ourselves in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all employees.
