The successful candidate will apply structural dynamics, vibration, acoustics, and finite element analysis expertise to support hardware development from concept through test and mission operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a role in various commercial space endeavors with our partners that include NASA, Intuitive Machines, Axiom Space, Lockheed Martin, and others.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nThe Structural Dynamics Analyst will:\n\nPerform structural dynamics analyses in support of spacecraft, payload, launch vehicle, and other aerospace hardware development programs\nDevelop and maintain finite element models to evaluate structural performance throughout the design, integration, and test lifecycle\nPerform loads, vibration, shock, acoustic, and modal analyses under the guidance of senior engineers to support hardware development and design verification\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support resolution of structural and dynamic performance challenges\nSupport environmental test planning, execution, and model correlation activities for qualification and flight hardware programs\nPrepare technical reports, engineering assessments, presentations, and analysis products for customer and program reviews\nQualifications:\n\nRequired Education/Experience/Skills:\n\nBS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline from an accredited engineering school, plus two (2) years of relevant engineering experience\nExperience performing structural dynamics analyses for aerospace or other complex engineered systems\nExperience developing and utilizing finite element models using Nastran or comparable analysis tools\nExperience performing loads, vibration, shock, acoustic, and modal analyses\nExperience supporting hardware testing and correlation of analytical results to test data\nFamiliarity with applicable NASA, SMC, MIL-STD, and other aerospace industry standards for structural analysis and testing\nProficiency with MATLAB, Python, or similar engineering analysis tools\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment\n\nPreferences:\n\nExperience with Beta CAE software products, including ANSA, META, and EPILYSIS\nExperience using NX Nastran, Simcenter 3D, or similar advanced analysis tools\nWorking experience with Windchill\nExperience preparing technical reports and engineering assessments\nMaster of Science degree in Engineering\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.\nApplicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\nWork may involve sitting for extended periods.\nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.\nMust have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.\nGenerally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.\nStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)\nRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.\nMust be able to work in a team atmosphere.\nMust put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.\nGrooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.\nThis position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.\n\n Don’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!\n\nBarrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
