Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health services, including individual, couples, and family therapy, to diverse populations. This role involves conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions across outpatient and inpatient settings. The therapist will utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, or other therapies. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and individuals, couples or families are highly valued. Duties
Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical best practices
Provide evidence-based psychotherapy including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and crisis intervention
Facilitate individual, family, and behavioral therapy sessions in person or via telehealth platforms while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Manage case documentation accurately within electronic medical records systems using appropriate medical terminology and CPT/ICD coding
Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention to support clients experiencing acute mental health issues
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care
Participate in clinical research projects or data collection efforts aimed at improving treatment outcomes
Provide patient care through intake assessments, behavioral management strategies, and patient assessment procedures
Maintain compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice and confidentiality regulations
Experience
Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW or equivalent) required
Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), art therapy, dance/movement therapy, or similar approaches
Demonstrated expertise in working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities including autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities
Experience in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, addiction counseling, PTSD care, grief counseling, and working with trauma-related conditions preferred
Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA regulations essential
Telehealth experience is advantageous for providing remote mental health services effectively
Background in clinical research or data collection related to behavioral health is a plus
Strong communication skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams are essential for success in this role

Pay: $81,918.82 - $98,654.92 per year
