Education Specialist
Working in collaboration with Rotary Botanical Gardens leadership, the Education Specialist is responsible for all aspects of educational programming essential to meeting the mission of the Rotary Botanical Gardens. Job responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Implementation
Works with the Leadership Team to create and design educational programing
Plans and implements youth, family and adult programs to fulfill the mission of The Gardens
Works with the Community Engagement Manager to administer the education budget by monitoring expenditures and maximizing revenue
Works with the Funds Development staff to seek grants and program sponsorships
As appropriate, is present during education programs to assist with registration and arrangements
Prepares and assembles evaluations for all workshops, seminars and symposia
Working with the Social Media Coordinator, plans the promotion of each education event
Oversees distribution of posters, brochures and registration forms
Coordinates communication with all aspects of educational programs
Administration
Oversees registration and data entry of participants and presenters
Coordinates and supports the Education Committee and Youth Education Sub-committee
Prints and assembles materials for workshops, seminars and symposium
Works with appropriate staff in scheduling and arranging education programs
Works with Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, retain and recognize volunteers
As appropriate, manages education interns
As appropriate, represent The Gardens at public events, in promotional materials, and in the media
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
