Day Program Coordinator
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education & Experience One year of IDD field experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred with training or experience in supervision.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exhibit strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with excellent data entry skills.
Access all areas of company facilities and locations as needed.
Physically able to push, pull, bend, reach, walk, stand for extended periods, climb stairs, lift, stoop, and assist individuals with mobility. Must be able to lift individuals and operate mechanical lifts when necessary.
Attend and successfully complete all required training.
Perform essential functions of all direct reports as needed.
Hold a valid driver’s license for at least three (3) years with an acceptable driving record.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Understand, uphold, and promote the mission, vision, values, and policies of Pleasant View, Inc., including compliance with Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) regulations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Support Duties
Maintain the confidentiality and rights of individuals at all times; report any concerns to the Senior Program Manager, Director of Program Operations, or Director of Program Integrity.
Monitor daily support and training delivery to ensure alignment with individual and organization’s goals.
Ensure program compliance with DBHDS licensure, federal and state regulations, and other applicable standards (e.g., Medicaid Title XIX, Medicaid Waiver); report any violations to the Senior Program Manager.
Provide direct care as needed (e.g., assistance with meals, hygiene, and mobility) and support case coordination (e.g., preparation of quarterly and annual reports). Assist with transportation, crisis care, and general emergency support.
Monitor and support individuals’ health needs, including adherence to prescribed diets, health precautions, and medication administration. Report incidents and accidents to the residential Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, and Director of Program Integrity.
Supervisory Duties
Participate in the interview process for Direct Support Professional (DSP) candidates.
Provide leadership and oversight to staff during day program hours.
Orient and train new employees on day program operations and expectations.
Plan and coordinate community-based and on-site activities tailored to individual needs, interests, and preferences.
Encourage team members to lead planned activities and ensure DSPs remain actively engaged with individuals throughout the day.
Promote teamwork by reviewing individual progress through observation and documentation, and sharing updates with the team.
Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality service delivery; address conflicts or concerns in a timely manner.
Communicate with residential teams to address individual needs and concerns.
Foster a positive team environment by conducting regular team meetings.
Serve as a liaison between the program and individuals’ family members or guardians.
Conduct monthly employee supervisions to assess care quality, service delivery, and job performance.
Administrative Duties
Coordinate with residential managers to ensure adequate staff coverage based on individual and program needs.
Report employee-related incidents and accidents to Human Resources.
Manage client petty cash accounts, including recording transactions and submitting receipts for processing.
Maintain required documentation such as fire drill logs, time sheets, attendance records, facility and vehicle checklists; ensure the facility and vehicles remain safe, clean, and well-maintained. Report concerns to the Director of Administrative Services and Maintenance Coordinator.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of individuals’ care, preferences, medical or behavioral events, and participation in program activities. Submit reports to the Service Coordinator for review.
Uphold Pleasant View, Inc.'s policies and procedures, and follow appropriate communication channels.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the administrative on-call rotation to provide medical emergency coverage for Pleasant View individuals and programs.
Represent the agency in fundraising and public relations events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
