Client-focusedEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Consistently ranked as a Top WorkplaceInternal recruitment team, in-house training, and a marketing department specific to our industryWe celebrate flexibility, allowing every team and office to lead with their proven approachOur culture champions continuous learning and personal growthWe believe success comes through constant evolution and communicationWe are passionate about having fun and making money, all while creating impactPOSITION OVERVIEW: As a Project Accounting Specialist at LJA Business Solutions, you will be responsible for accounting and administrative support for day-to-day activities of Project Managers.A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:Setting up and maintaining projectsInvoicing clients on a weekly/monthly basis - lump sum, time & material, % of completion basisPreparing spreadsheet invoices to include detailed backup documentationProviding project, billing, A/R and other miscellaneous reports as needed Assisting Project Managers and Collections group with resolving outstanding AR issues Analyzing revenue and job costMonitoring sub-consultants including reviewing contract and insurance certificates to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, track payment status Completing accounts payable review and coding, entry as neededArchiving documents pertaining to projects and client/sub-consultant contracts Working directly with various project managers, administrative support and management Working directly with client contacts for billing/receivables Assisting with special projects as requested by managerREQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferredREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of experience in a billing positionExperience with billing for public/government clients, with good understanding of specified/fixed rates (rate schedules) and multipliersExperience with ERP project-based accounting systems (BST, Deltek, Clearview/InFocus, etc.)Experience with invoice submittal via client portalsAble to work effectively both independent and in a team environmentMust be detail oriented and organizedAbility to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet deadlinesMust be self-motivated and strive to produce quality workIDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:Experience in the Engineering or Construction industry LEVEL UP WITH LJAAt LJA, we're 100% employee-owned.
