Collaborates with Account Manager on Proposal and Contract creation.\r\nCollaborates with the engineering team for design documentation by providing initial written concepts, reviewing drawing sets at regular intervals, and providing final approval on construction and installation documents before release.\r\nResponsible for the contractually accurate product being installed, documenting parts list changes in change orders to customers, and initiating product returns for system changes as needed.\r\nActs as the technical expert for the final solution delivered to the customer and oversees and performs programming, calibration, customization, and tuning of the AVL systems at Summit HQ and on-site based on project needs.\r\nDelivers effective training via in-person and electronic means to staff and volunteers on the new system before and during the first use.\r\nConducts final checks to ensure the system meets Summit Standards, contractual specifications, and customer expectations. Documents system operation, creates backup files, and communicates final system functionality to end-users.\r\nActs as the primary technical support contact for 30 days after installation. Works with the Summit Support Team to quickly resolve equipment or configuration issues during the warranty period.\r\nSkills and Abilities Ability to function in a high-paced and, at times, high-stress environment.\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\r\nDisplays empathy, intuition, and good judgment.\r\nDependable and organized, able to work independently while maintaining focus and attention to detail.\r\nStrong ability to problem solve.\r\nJob Requirements Bachelor\\'s degree in a relevant field such as Audio Engineering, Acoustics, Information Technology, AVL Technology or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of formal education requirements.\r\nPreferred: Master\\'s degree in a related field. Certifications or courses in AVL technology, audio/video equipment, and system integration.\r\nOSHA 10 Certification\r\nMaintains driver\\'s license in good standing with DMV and the ability to be insured under Summit\\'s insurance policy.\r\n5+ years of experience in an AVL technical role, ideally within the House of Worship industry. Experience in system implementation & operation. Technical Experience with industry-standard tools for designing and configuring AVL systems. Experience with client-facing interactions, including presenting solutions, discussing technical requirements, and guiding clients through the decision-making process.\r\nProject management experience or familiarity with managing technical projects, including timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.\r\nPreferred: 7+ years of experience in technical roles, with at least 5 years in a church staff or similar role, 2+ years in touring or production, and 4 years of technical sales. Experience with advanced AVL systems, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Expertise in both technical and business aspects of solutions, including balancing client needs with organizational goals (e.g., cost, timeline, scope).\r\nMental Capabilities and Cognitive Requirements Able to read, write, spell and communicate effectively in English, ensuring clear and concise documentation and communication.\r\nAdvance math skills.\r\nBasic reporting skills.\r\nDependable and organized, able to work independently while maintaining focus and attention to detail.\r\nAdvanced multi-tasking & documentation capabilities with the ability to handle appropriate levels of projects and revenue. Knowledge in audio, video, and lighting systems and can quickly and efficiently design AVL Systems based on customer requirements.\r\nThe ability to understand and solve complex problems, multitask numerous activities/projects and handle unexpected situations with calm and good judgment.\r\nAdhere to routine verbal and/or written instructions.
