{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"443a8095bab4e24b6b541358","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/443a8095bab4e24b6b541358","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/443a8095bab4e24b6b541358","title":"Supplier Development Engineer","description":"Job Description:\n\nThis role operates as a technical bridge between Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure that component selections and mechanical designs are robust, producible, and aligned with supplier capabilities prior to production release.\n\nThe position is expected to identify and mitigate risks early, particularly in component selection, tolerancing, and manufacturability, to reduce downstream reliability issues, supply disruptions, and design rework.\n\nRoles & Responsibilities:\n\nParticipate in DVT readiness and design reviews to identify component risks, manufacturability concerns, and documentation gaps.\n\nSupport design transfer activities to ensure readiness for manufacturing release.\n\nEvaluate lifecycle status (NRND/EOL), supplier risk, and availability\n\nRecommend alternates and mitigation strategies.\n\nSupport Release of OTS and custom parts\n\nReview drawings for dimensional accuracy, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and tolerance stack-up risks.\n\nAssess manufacturability relative to supplier capabilities.\n\nIdentify over-constrained tolerances and yield risks.\n\nProvide actionable DFM/DFA feedback.\n\nAct as liaison between Engineering and Supply Chain.\n\nSupport supplier technical discussions.\n\nAssist in resolving build and early production issues.\n\nSupport an effort of the supply chain activity by identifying long lead time items and engaging with the suppliers for potential cross-references.\n\nSupport lifecycle advancement of components in Propel by ensuring complete specifications, compliance, and approved sourcing for pre-production readiness.\n\nEnsure alignment of component data across Propel/NetSuite.\n\nSupport traceability and audit readiness.\n\nRequirements:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSME preferred).\n\nMust have a mechanical/electro-mechanical aptitude.\n\nMedical Device Industry experience.\n\nDVT -
