This engineer would analyze/design new circuits or modify existing designs to achieve improved performance, cost and reliability. This individual needs to have a fundamental understanding of embedded designs in a hardened/industrial environment. This role also requires close interaction with supply chain, quality, manufacturing and service teams to ensure designs meet cross functional requirements. The ideal candidate should be creative, self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced engineering organization.\n\nCore Duties and Responsibilities\nAnalyze, design, test and document electrical components and layouts for new and existing products\nPerform various electrical tests for electrical and systems engineering\nWrite tests plans for printed circuit boards, electrical hardware and system\nPerform system troubleshooting and author incident reports\nEffectively incorporate field data from customers as well as manufacturing constraints within design work efforts; focus upon design elements that improve the end-user experience and increase manufacturability\nManage project assignments with a focus on delivering high caliber results in a timely fashion\nMaintain an understanding of high priority engineering projects; be prepared to contribute as needed to priority projects\nBuild effective internal relationships with colleagues; work both inter-departmentally and cross-functionally as needed for project assignments\nSeek opportunities to grow knowledge of Company products while also furthering engineering knowledge through internal collaboration\nRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner in all interactions; support the philosophy of the organization to provide high-performing technology to maximize customer satisfaction\nPerform other duties as assigned\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred\nMinimum of two (2) years of related work experience; experience within a manufacturing operation is highly preferred\nEmbedded system design and analysis experience required\nAbility to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position – up to 20%\nExperience in C with an understanding of writing code and drivers for embedded systems\nDemonstrated aptitude in designing and building electronic subsystems\nExperience in digital and analog circuit design and analysis\nDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail\nProficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook\nTeamwork oriented and focused\nSuperior communication skills\nAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively\nExcellent follow-through\nMust be driven and self-motivated\nMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality\nPay Rate:\n$69,900.00 - $104,900.00\nWe offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:\n✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
