BuyerLocation: Lafayette, COJob ID: #72346Pay Range: $32-38What are the main functions of this role?* The Buyer will have existing procurement experience in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry in a manufacturing or Research & Development (R&D) environment. The Buyer will have working knowledge of FAR, DFAR and/or NASA procurement regulations, price analysis and target pricing techniques, as well as prior experience procuring Custom Fab-to-Print commodities.Required Skill Sets:3-5 Years ERP Experience - SAP Preferred.Must be able to understand/read engineering drawings and BOM structureExperience working with mechanical/fabricated part drawings and technical spec understandingExperience working in partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure the organization's needs are met while managing purchasing process proceduresWork cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Material Program Manager, Planning, and Accounting to meet business needsExperience in procurement and/or vendor contract management is preferredWorking knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) complianceBuy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
