By joining our global team and learning from renowned subject matter experts, we can offer you a diverse career that could take you anywhere in the world.\n\nLycopodium is currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our growing process team in Lima, Peru.\n\nReporting to the Manager of Process the Lead Process Engineer is responsible for the delivery of accurate, professional and compliant process study and design deliverables using Company approved systems and procedures to agreed schedules.\n\nThe tasks you'll perform\n\nLead and deliver NI 43‑101 compliant process documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.\n\nProduce core process engineering deliverables, including mass balances, flowsheets, P&IDs, design criteria, operating costs, and control philosophy.\n\nPlan, cost, execute, and interpret metallurgical testwork programmes, delivering clear reports and defined process designs.\n\nEvaluate process equipment tenders and vendor data, providing technical recommendations during studies and design phases.\n\nProactively manage process risks and changes, ensuring timely communication with all relevant stakeholders.\n\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet study, project, and client design objectives.\n\nSupport team capability and continuous improvement through mentoring, peer reviews, and contribution to improvement initiatives.\n\nParticipate in commissioning, proposals, professional development activities, and ad‑hoc travel as required, maintaining accurate process documentation and knowledge bases.\n\nThe expertise you'll bring\n\nDegree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent\n\nExtensive experience in mineral processing, including 10+ years in engineering roles and 5+ years in operations or process plant environments.\n\nDeep process design expertise, with strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving capability and high attention to detail.\n\nProven ability to deliver to budget and schedule with minimal supervision while maintaining high technical standards.\n\nDemonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, delegation, succession planning, and team development.\n\nStrong commercial and business acumen, adaptable across different operational and project environments.\n\nComprehensive knowledge of process plant safety requirements, including tagging, isolation, and emergency procedures.\n\nProficiency in mineral processing and engineering tools, including LIMN, METSIM, SYSCAD, BRUNO, and advanced MS Excel\n\nStrong professional integrity and confidentiality standards.\n\nThe benefits we'll provide\nLycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
