This range is an estimate and the actual hourly rate may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.\r\nThe Machine Operator will operate production machine tools following specified procedures for quality products. The Machine Operator will monitor machine operations, make quality visual checks and complete production paperwork and ERP entries.\r\nRequirements\r\nEssential Responsibilities:\r\nRead job specifications/travelers/log tickets to determine material requirements.\r\nCheck coil stock at machine to verify correct material requirements.\r\nEnsure correct position of material in take-up rolls, adjust, and secure work product.\r\nMonitor multiple machines (high speed stamping press) that expand copper or aluminum metal.\r\nDetect defects or machine malfunction and report defects and malfunctions to supervisor immediately.\r\nInspect product for visual defects such as broken strands and measure at key points using precision measuring instruments (i.e. precision magnifying loupe) to determine accuracy of machine operation during product cycle.\r\nLog in and out of jobs, accurately enter log information in ERP system.\r\nPerform minor machine maintenance, such as adding oil to machine reservoir.\r\nRemove finished rolls and move to designated area with completed paperwork.\r\nWear common protective or safety equipment such as gloves, safety goggles, etc.\r\nPerform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work area.Qualifications:\r\nHigh School Graduate/GED.\r\nOne to three years related manufacturing experience, preferred.\r\nExpanded mesh experience a plus.Knowledge or Abilities:\r\nKnowledge of basic math (i.e. compute square footage), the ability to read, understand and complete production paperwork.\r\nKnowledge of machines, tools, production processes, and quality control.\r\nMust be able to use production hand tools and precision measuring instruments.\r\nMust be able to apply principles of logical thinking and mechanical ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and use judgement and data information to draw valid conclusions.\r\nStrong organization skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.Work Environment:\r\nConstant (67-100%) use of hands and arms, reach, bending and moving about production machinery in a light manufacturing environment. Work is not sedentary.
