ASI is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst with specific expertise in USMC Supply and Maintenance processes to work in Albany, GA. The ideal candidate must possess the requisite skills for this position.
Responsibilities:
Support projects analyzing existing system-support supply chains including inventory management, maintenance, and distribution
Analyze complex logistics support systems and reports, and determine extent of problems
Analyze historical and current supply chain data to discern discrepancies, incompatibilities, and redundancies
Provide consulting services on USMC logistics strategy and supply chain materiel management policy and guidance related to weapon system lifecycle product support and all classes of supply, with particular focus on wholesale and retail level inventory management processes, policies, performance measurement and analysis
Provide support for inventory management, provisioning, distribution and packaging principles, concepts, policies, and processes to ensure enterprise- wide efficiency and cost-effective end-to-end logistics performance
Provide support in establishing weapon system life cycle management sustainment activities
Provide support in correcting audit findings and material weaknesses in Inventory, Operating Material and Supplies, and Requisitioning
Provide support for inventory and distribution business ideas, innovative solutions, and alternatives that will improve business practices and decision making
Review and monitor Defense Components Supply Working Capital Funds programming and budgeting requirements
Analyze and assess logistics and supply chain policies and procedures against current performance metrics and make recommendations on policy and/or process improvements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar discipline
12+ years of experience in DOD logistics and supply chain management
Knowledge of commercially based advanced modeling, networking, scheduling, and inventory optimization systems and techniques in order to support development of supply, inventory management, and distribution policy to improve materiel management of spare part inventories
Working knowledge of USMC Intermediate Supply using Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC)
Working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy-ERP)
Experience with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) methodology
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in cost/benefit analysis, quality control, and project tracking
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated high energy, enthusiasm, tact, and ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry
Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment
Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, and able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance
