Senior Designer

As a Senior Electrical Designer, you’ll apply your technical expertise to transform engineering concepts into detailed, constructible design packages that power critical infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate, high-quality plan sets and design drawings Apply industry standards, codes, and best practices to ensure plans are buildable, efficient, and clearProvides guidance, direction, oversight, and specialized assistance to project team members to achieve deliverable goals that meet the project deadlinesDemonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to anticipate and solve problems, and determine requirements for various complex project designsReview plans of substantial complexity for accuracy, consistency, and complianceContribute to project success by managing deadlines, tracking revisions, and supporting coordination with clients and contractorsAbility to work in a team-centric environmentBasic RequirementsAssociates degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or related field. 15+ years of vertical design experienceProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software) and able to visualize designs in 2D or 3D dimensions. Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for markup editingAbility to learn new project workflows within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) ecosystemStrong knowledge of drafting standards and electrical infrastructure design. Demonstrated ability to solve difficult and complex problems with minimal direction. Attention to detail, with the ability to balance accuracy and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication skills and a proactive, client-service mindset. Familiarity working in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Ability to work occasional overtime. Preferred Qualifications10+ years of civil design experience, with a focus on water or electrical projects. Physical QualificationsAbility to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
