In this role, you'll work alongside senior engineers to maintain high‑availability systems, strengthen automation, and ensure secure, scalable operations across a 24/7 environment.\nThis position is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to deepen their technical foundation, gain exposure to enterprise‑grade environments, and grow into advanced engineering or architecture roles.\nWhat You'll Learn and Build:\nHands‑on experience maintaining and engineering dynamic, cutting‑edge solutions.\nCollaboration with solution architects, pre‑sales engineers, and technical delivery teams.\nExposure to major product lines and how they perform in real customer environments.\nDirect insight into industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies.\nHow Far You Can Go:\nOpportunity to become a Systems Engineer and/or if desired take on leadership roles & responsibilities within a fast-growing organization\nWhat Your Typical Day Will Be:\nMonitor and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network systems.\nPerform system patching, upgrades, and backups across Windows, Linux, and virtual environments.\nSupport and troubleshoot VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, VDI pools).\nManage cloud services (e.g., Azure) and assist in cloud migration and automation efforts.\nAutomate recurring tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).\nMaintain and document system configurations, procedures, and incident responses.\nProvide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for technical issues, including Sev1 incident response.\nAssist with disaster recovery planning and execution.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments and infrastructure changes.\nParticipate in a 24/7 operational environment.\nWhat You Bring to The Table:\nAssociate or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent military/corporate training.\n1+ years of experience in systems administration, IT operations, or technical support.\nFamiliarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.\nExperience with VMware or VDI environments.\nBasic cloud computing knowledge (Azure preferred).\nStrong troubleshooting and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks.\nExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nMust meet all requirements to obtain a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)\nPreferred Experience (Not Required):\nExperience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Linux).\nExposure to Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) OS environments.\nFamiliarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).\nFamiliarity with Jira & Confluence.\nBasic networking knowledge.\nCertifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, - CompTIA Linux+, VMware Certified Technical Associate – Data Center Virtualization (VCTA‑DCV), Microsoft 365 or Windows Desktop Administrator (MD‑102), Qualys.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift 50-75 lbs and perform tasks requiring ladder climbing, crouching, and kneeling.\n\nWhat's On Offer:\nCompetitive Salary: Starting at $27.00 - $32.00/hour, reflecting your skills and experience.\nComprehensive Benefits: Including health, dental, and vision plans, paid time off, holidays, and a 401(k) with company matching.\nCareer Development: Opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth within a company that values innovation and progress.\n\nVectorUSA is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
