Under limited supervision, this position performs complex planning and procurement of various commodities using a mainframe MRP system.\nPrimary Job Responsibilities\nPlan, purchase, expedite and negotiate materials in support of production schedules and capital/MRO materials and services.\nMaintain MRP system data and its integrity.\nNegotiate, review, and administer contracts for assigned commodities.\nSource, evaluate and establish new suppliers and materials in conjunction with Quality Assurance and Engineering departments in support of company goals and objectives.\nInteract with suppliers to ensure correct parts are delivered on-time, at the quoted pricing and quantity.\nEngage in price/term negotiations to mitigate cost increases and obtain cost savings.\nDevelop and implement programs with suppliers and internal cross functional team members that address lead time production, order fill rate performance, quality performance, cost reduction and technical improvements.\nEvaluate and maintain the material requirements plan for assigned commodities and ensure systems validity and integrity by inputting and adjusting records according to company and/or department guideline.\nCompile data, prepare and analyze reports as requested and required by Purchasing Department and Manager.\nPrepare quotes for new customer assembly builds and existing business.\nGenerate and adjust purchase orders in support of ERP/MRP requirements and effectively communicating areas of concern and escalations to appropriate purchasing individuals, departments, and suppliers.\nAttend meetings as needed to support cross functional team objectives.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.\n3+ years’ experience in a purchasing role.\nKnowledge of purchasing practices and procedures including MRP/ERP, First Article, RMA, Drawings/Specifications, Expedites and Cancellations.\nProficient computer skills including MS Office; knowledge of SAP and/or MRP based systems.\nKnowledge of basic accounting principles, good oral and written skills.\nAbility to work in and be flexible in a fast-paced growth environment.\nInternational exposure a plus.\nWho we are\nRaycap, Inc. create products that protect and support the world’s most valuable assets.
