The ideal candidate will have previous offshore experience and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and productivity. This position involves assisting with vessel maintenance, surface preparation, painting operations, equipment handling, and other duties as assigned by the onboard supervisor.\n\n#IND123\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform general labor and deckhand duties aboard offshore vessels and marine facilities.\nAssist with vessel maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping activities.\nPrepare surfaces for maintenance and coating projects using:\nChipping tools\nBuffing and grinding equipment\nNeedle guns\nWire brushes and power tools\nAssist with sandblasting and painting operations when required.\nLoad, unload, move, and organize tools, equipment, and supplies.\nAssist maintenance personnel with repair projects and vessel upkeep.\nFollow all safety procedures, company policies, and client requirements.\nParticipate in safety meetings, drills, and job safety analyses (JSA).\nMaintain work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.\nProperly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Captain, Supervisor, or Offshore Foreman.\nQualifications\nPrevious offshore vessel or marine industry experience preferred.\nExperience with chipping, buffing, grinding, needle gunning, surface preparation, and painting operations.\nSandblasting experience is preferred but not required.\nAbility to safely operate hand and power tools.\nKnowledge of offshore and marine safety practices.\nStrong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nMust be dependable, punctual, and safety conscious.\nAbility to take direction and follow instructions from onboard supervision.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather and offshore conditions.\nAbility to work extended shifts and rotational schedules as required.\nCertifications and Requirements\nPreferred certifications may include:\nTWIC Card\nValid Driver's License\nOffshore Water Survival (if required by client)\nHUET (if required by client)\nBasic Safety Training\nCurrent physical and drug screening as required\nWork Environment\nThis position is performed in offshore marine environments aboard vessels and offshore facilities.
