This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator who enjoys handling complex healthcare and professional liability matters while working in a collaborative, client-focused environment. Hybrid working schedule.\nThe Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney will manage a diverse caseload involving the defense of physicians, hospitals, healthcare systems, nurses, and other medical professionals in medical negligence and healthcare liability claims. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, confident courtroom advocate, and skilled relationship builder with strong litigation experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage medical malpractice defense cases from inception through resolution.\nConduct and defend depositions, including parties, witnesses, and medical experts.\nDraft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.\nDevelop litigation strategies and evaluate case exposure.\nPrepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.\nCollaborate with clients, experts, and healthcare professionals to build strong defense strategies.\nMaintain accurate case reporting and provide regular updates to clients and carriers.\nParticipate in business development and client relationship activities as appropriate.\nQualifications\nJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.\nActive membership in the California State Bar.\n3+ years of civil litigation experience; medical malpractice defense experience strongly preferred.\nStrong deposition, motion practice, and case management skills.\nTrial experience or significant trial preparation experience is a plus.\nExcellent written and oral advocacy skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.\nBenefits\nBase ($150,000-$200,000) + Bonus plan\n1,900 Billable hour requirement\nHybrid working schedule\n401k Match\nFull Medical, Dental and Vision\nFSA and HSA\nCell Phone reimbursement\nGenerous PTO\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
