This role focuses on using Rhino3D to create accurate, data-driven models that support quantity takeoffs, system comparisons, scope definition, and pricing strategy during preconstruction.\r\nThe ideal candidate understands that preconstruction modeling prioritizes precision, constructability, and data extraction over visual detail. You will work closely with estimating, engineering, and preconstruction management teams to translate architectural intent into actionable facade systems.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDevelop accurate Rhino-based 3D models of curtain wall, storefront, window wall, and architectural glazing systems during preconstruction.\r\nInterpret architectural drawings, details, and specifications to model facade geometry, unitization logic, infill conditions, trims, and intermediates.\r\nStructure models to support quantity takeoffs, system comparisons, alternates, and value engineering studies.\r\nApply company modeling standards for layers, attributes, naming conventions, and tagging to ensure consistency and reliable data output.\r\nCollaborate with estimating teams to ensure modeled quantities align with pricing assumptions and proposal scope.\r\nSupport design-assist and early engineering efforts by modeling system concepts, unit breakdowns, and facade logic.\r\nUpdate models as designs evolve and assist with preconstruction revisions, alternates, and scope clarifications.\r\nCoordinate with engineering and detailing teams to facilitate smooth handoff from preconstruction to downstream workflows when applicable.\r\nExperience and Qualifications\r\nMinimum of 2-year degree in Engineering Technology or similar field required.\r\n5 years of related work experience.\r\nExperience with CAD technologies for building modeling.\r\nReading and understanding architectural drawings is required.\r\nAEC or relevant construction industry experience is required; knowledge of facade and glazing system components is required.\r\nKey Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\r\nCollaborate: Encourage collaboration with your peers and leaders.\r\nDo the right thing: Deliver excellence, treat each other with respect.\r\nValue a balanced life: Reward each other's contributions and cultivate a welcoming environment.\r\nFocus on results: Maintain a strong desire to execute through customer focus and attention to detail.\r\nBe flexible: Adjust quickly and effectively to shifts in business and project needs.\r\nAttain clarity and alignment: Ensure you have clarity and alignment before moving forward.\r\nStrengths that are important for your position\r\nProblem Solving\r\nExtreme Ownership\r\nCommunication\r\nTime Management\r\nAttention to Detail\r\nTechnical Aptitude\r\nTechnical skills: Rhino and Grasshopper; Revit/AutoCad Navisworks/Sketchup\r\nCompensation\r\nCompensation Range: $31.73/hr. – $41.82/hr.\r\nOur Benefits\r\nWe care about and invest in our employees.
