As a GPU Performance Architect, you will work on cutting-edge projects alongside a highly skilled and passionate global team.\n\nTHE PERSON:\n\nA self-motivated graphics enthusiast. Effective Team player who focuses on collaboration and furthering team success\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nWork on workload/competitive analysis of contemporary and futuristic game/AI/ML applications\nIdentify complex technical problems, break them down, summarize multiple possible solutions, and help the team make progress\nWork with architects to understand bottlenecks in graphics cores and SoCs\nAnalyze existing and emerging graphics/compute paradigms and algorithms\nImplement and run simulation models - i.e., both RTL and high-level simulation to estimate potential gains\nPropose innovative solutions for PPA improvements\nDrive initiatives to improve RTG analysis tools\nCollaborate with engineers and managers on multiple sites.\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n\nExperience spanning architecture, performance analysis and AI/ML/graphics/compute algorithms\nExperience in Kernel development of LLMs using PyTorch, Triton, CUDA, HIP etc.\nExcellent C/C++/Scripting (Python, etc.) experience\nKnowledge of Graphics/Compute APIs (DirectX/Vulkan/CUDA/HIP etc.)\nExperience with AI/ML use cases and demonstrated ability to effectively leverage and collaborate with AI agents in modern engineering workflows\nKnowledge of GPU architecture and Compilers\nExperience in GFX profiling tools is a plus (PIX, RenderDoc, AMD tools, etc.)\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\n\nBachelor of Science, Masters or PhD degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science is preferred\n\nLOCATION:\n\nAustin, Tx\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\n#LI-PA1\n\nQualifications:\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
