Ultimately, this position aims to help Synapse take on more business while maintaining our high, customer-centric standards.\nOVERVIEW\nAs a Full Stack Web Developer, you’ll be a key member of our development team as you work closely with Account Management, Creative, and Production members to develop cutting-edge websites and applications using modern web compliance standards with a heavy focus on user experience design.\nThe ideal candidate will possess strong experience in these areas:\nWebsites - coding and developing websites using responsive web design (RWD), typically using WordPress as a headless Content Management system, and languages such as CSS, SASS, HTML5, JS, and JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, Vue.js, Node.js, Angular.js, React.js.\nWeb Applications - programming web applications, custom WordPress plugins, and APIs using programming languages such as PHP7+, JS, ES5+, Typescript, and WordPress and Laravel frameworks.\nDatabases – designing, developing, and optimizing databases and database-driven applications using MySQL\nBesides the skills required for the role, the ideal cultural fit will be professional, helpful, naturally curious, and passionate about their career. This role is a challenging, rewarding, and high-energy position with an excellent opportunity for career and personal growth.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nThe Full Stack Web Developer will:\nManage the complete software development process from conception to deployment.\nMaintaining and upgrading the software following deployment.\nOverseeing and guiding the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software.\nDevelop code for projects and support the team.\nDevelop plugins when necessary to integrate with third-party solutions.\nEasily switch between different programming languages and environments.\nDebug and maintain existing websites and applications.\nCode efficiently and accurately with minimum supervision.\nTake ownership of projects and timelines.\nConsult with clients and internal stakeholders on websites, applications, content, user interface/experience, and presentation.\nDocument code clearly and concisely.\nCommunicate project updates to internal Account Management teams.\nPossess a desire to learn and grow as a developer.\nAbility to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.\nPROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES\nThe ideal addition to the team will have:\nEarned a Bachelor's degree in related Web Development, Computer Science, or similar discipline with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Developer.\nExperience working with CMS / Frameworks – WordPress, Laravel.\nCoding experience with HTML, SASS, CSS, JS (ES5+), PHP Development\nExperience with JavaScript frameworks – VueJS, jQuery, node.js, or other frameworks such as Angular or React.\nExperience with building and consuming APIs. (Custom built APIs, Google Maps API and etc.)\nExperience with database design, implementation, and optimization with MySQL.\nExperience with Version Control using git.\nExperience with gulp / webpack.\nComfortable with command-line interfaces.\nExperience with server management.
