Continuous Improvement EngineerLocation - Marion, ARNO VISA SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE NOW OR IN THE FUTUREW2 role - Contract for 2-3 yearsJob DescriptionResponsibilities - You will be responsible for developing and implementing a process for effective waste management and scrap removalIdentifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reductionPlanning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools.Manages cost savings program.Working to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as office by leading Kaizen events and collaborating with across multiple departments.Participate in weekly OEE review meeting.Extensive data collection for root cause analysis.Track and maintain database of issues, root cause analysis and lessons learned according to plant standards.Conducting detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issues.Specifying deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicators.Identifying available resources (for example, people, material, and finances).Mapping out in detail the desired situation.Clearly defining methodology.Accurately analyzing options including impact and feasibility.Specifying obstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvement.Regularly monitoring the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.Participate in team meetings as needed.Participate and promote 5S throughout the facility.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management Systems, or equivalent experienceAt least 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturingSix Sigma Green Belt Certification required or sufficient experience.Highly skilled in: Continuous Improvement, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and Value Stream Mapping.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including advanced skills with Excel.Demonstrated ability to work in high paced and changing environments.Basic Understanding of the automotive manufacturing and supplier as well as secondary equipment.
