We are looking for a collaborative and solutions-oriented Senior Manager, Security to help protect our logistics network, strengthen transportation risk programs, and lead efforts that reduce loss, improve carrier performance, and support a secure customer experience.\n\nCore responsibilities\n\nOwn logistics security strategy for HP's transportation network.\nManage loss, theft, damage, shortage and mis-delivery incidents across carriers, warehouses and distribution partners.\nLead transportation claims management, including investigation, documentation, recovery and settlement.\nManage relationships with major LSPs, carriers, freight forwarders and 3PLs.\nInvestigate high-value shipment incidents and identify root causes.\nDevelop controls to prevent cargo theft, fraud, unauthorized access and product diversion.\nEstablish security standards for transportation lanes, warehouses and high-risk locations.\nTrack claims and losses using KPIs such as:\nClaim $ / shipment\nLoss rate\nDamage rate\nTheft incidents\nRecovery %\nClaim cycle time\nCarrier performance\nPartner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Security and Insurance teams.\nLead corrective/preventive actions with logistics service providers.\nReview carrier contracts and ensure appropriate liability and insurance coverage.\nEstablish escalation processes for major incidents.\nConduct risk assessments of logistics providers and distribution locations.\nUse data/analytics to identify recurring loss patterns and high-risk lanes.\nDrive continuous improvement and cost reduction.\n\nWhat makes this role interesting\n\nFor HP, this isn't simply a \"claims processing\" job.\nThe stronger version of the role is essentially:\nTransportation Risk + Security + Claims + Carrier Performance + Loss Prevention\nThat makes it a fairly strategic supply-chain role, particularly because HP moves high-value technology products through a global logistics network.\nHP also emphasizes that its careers span multiple disciplines and that employees can move across functions and geographies.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance or related field\n10+ years logistics/transportation experience\n5+ years managing logistics security programs end-to-end\n4+ years experience developing and leading high-performing global teams\nExperience managing 3PLs/LSPs and transportation carriers\nClaims and loss investigation experience\nStrong analytical/data skills\nContract and liability knowledge\nExperience with risk management/security programs\nStrong negotiation skills\nAbility to work with senior stakeholders\nGlobal supply-chain experience\nExperience with continuous improvement / operational excellence\n\nPay & Benefits\n\nThe pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional\n\nopportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United\n\nStates of America candidates only).
